Customizeable LOS Solution
My experience with Encompass/Ellie Mae/ICE Mortgage Technologies has been generally positive. Each platform is so customizable to suit each lender's needs, there has to be some give and take with 'out of the box' settings. With a flexible admin team, solutions can be tested and implemented to keep everything working. On occasion, you can tell the support team gets overwhelmed and/or may not have a great answer, but most techs try to be as helpful as possible. At the end of the day, helps us close loans!

I configured our Encompass from the beginning without experience. Our implementation rep was awesome. I have never major issues with the tech support folks...with times of slow responses. Our account rep responds quickly, due diligence docs are turned around quickly.
Overall, the system is great...with all the integrations and the ability to customize to the lender's needs is really good. The additional services like Consumer Connect, Mortgage Returns, Velocify, InSights, Data Connect, LO Connect, and the list goes on. No system will be perfect, but with all the things this system allows us to do is awesome. I can't imagine keeping up with all the regulator document changes on a home grow system...all I have to do is read the release notes...and attend the Experience conferences each year. I'm thrilled to have this system vs the others in the market.

Great system overall. Love the integrations with various vendors/services. Very expensive, and you don't get what you pay for with support. Level of support has declined in the last 6 months/year.

You pay the big bucks to run with the big dogs
If you want to use one of the largest mortgage lending platforms then be prepared to pay the price. Great product and tools but pricing continues to get worse year over year. They have lost some market due their pricing, but this had allowed new players to bubble up some. Support has gotten worse in the past few years, especially when they were purchased and re-organized by ICE. In order to take full advantage of this platform you almost always need a dedicated administrator and a developer. Recent and up coming changes in their coding model also means that your administrator will need to be able to code more than VB script.

Support turn around times have significantly increased since becoming ICE.
